Australian Jehovah’s Witnesses protected over a thousand members accused of child abuse, report says

Over the course of about six decades, more than 1,000 members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses were accused of sexually abusing Australian children, according to a new report. Victims were ordered to keep quiet. Not one of the alleged perpetrators were reported to the police.

After my experience, this doesn’t surprise me one bit. If you go to the elders you have to have two witnesses before they’ll even do anything! Continue reading →

Oh my God, I don’t think I even believed anymore.

Oh my God. Literally. Oh my God.

I just found out about a girl in San Diego.

Thank God.

I believe.

I believe in God.

UK Charity Commission

I just received an email from Jonathan Sanders of the UK Commission. I wonder when the US will take action?

Good afternoon,

I am writing to provide you with an update on our work on charities here in England & Wales linked to Jehovah’s Witnesses. I know that this email will end up in many different parts of the world – I hope that wherever you are, it is as nice and sunny as it is today in London.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who has come forward. It has been a real privilege to hear from so many of you. We have been struck time and time again by your generosity in sharing your experiences with us. We are also very grateful to those of you who have provided us with documents. The Hunt

I saw The Hunt again and I nearly threw up watching it again. It’s so hard to see a nightmare played out again and again. I lost all my “friends” and I don’t think there’s much left of my faith either.

Up to Wine Steals for Thursday night. I promised Tom Maranda I’d meet him privately, and Robin Henkel should be playing tonight. So there’s that.

I think I’ve got this blog set up so I can confess.

I want to die.

So there.

Hello world!

Well, I registered this domain name and then panicked. I did it based on a recommendation from a friend, and while it seems like a good idea, it’s also somewhat terrifying. I don’t know why exactly. Any way, after a bit too much red wine we registered the domain name and she helped me set this up. Some how it’s supposed to make me feel better to know that I have a voice and that I can interact with the world, even if it’s “anonymous”. We settled, and now I’m “anonymous”.

So, this is the start of me telling my story.
